There are two Adena mounds at Highbanks Metro Park in Columbus, Ohio. A friend of mine, John, told me about Highbanks Park Mound II, also referred to as Orchard Mound or Selvey Mound. It is only about 2.5' high and 45' in diameter. John said it was not too impressive... just a pile of dirt. I thought there might be more to it than that. So, I did some dowsing, and by this time I was no longer surprised to find several lines that crossed at the center of the mound. A few weeks later on July 4, 1998, Shakura and her friend Bob, who is also interested in dowsing, agreed to meet me at the Adena mound. We counted ten lines in alignment with the peak of the mound.

When I first visited this mound during the summer of 1998, it was overgrown with weeds and looked like an ideal breeding ground for ticks, so I didn't get close enough to do any dowsing. On March 7, 1999, I returned to the site and located 25 lines as I dowsed around the peak. From an energetic perspective, the mound resembles a medicine wheel with 25 spokes.
