In 1998, I read a book titled "Shamanism and the Mystery Lines" by Paul Devereux. He discusses the idea that stone circles, like Stonehenge and other ancient monuments around the world were aligned with Earth energies such as ley lines and underground streams of water and that these alignments had a spiritual significance for prehistoric cultures. I was intrigued by his ideas and thought I might be able to use my dowsing abilities to verify this locally. Since the Mound Builders were very active at one time in the area where I live, this provided me with many opportunities for exploring ancient alignments.
